Give Back to the World: Preserve the Wilderness and Protect the Wildlife

Mankind is the steward of this planet. In as much as we only have one lifetime, we also have one home in this entire universe. Planet earth is rapidly deteriorating faster than it has ever been over the centuries. A big factor in issues like global warming and climate change is human involvement. Some advocates even label humans as destructors of this planet. We are so good at wreaking havoc of our landscape, natural resources, and the lives of everyone else living here, more and more species are becoming extinct as the years go by.

One more thing some people fail to notice in this big dilemma of ours is how the rest of the species coexisting with us, especially the ones living in the wild, are affected by all these environmental changes that is happening in all corners of the globe.

Organizations like Wilderness International make an effort to raise awareness about this cause and promote wildlife protection and conservation among others. The life of many wild animals have been numbered because of poaching/ hunting, severe natural phenomena, and because their home in the wild is getting smaller and smaller as big corporations convert these lands into residential or commercial areas or agricultural/ manufacturing plants. And its scope is not limited to animals but to plants too, many of which can no longer cope with the likes of severe flood or drought that is exacerbated by drastic environmental changes the planet is facing.

Wilderness International lives by its mantra "Conservation through Active Participation" that encourages people to become active participants in protecting the wildlife and care for all of God's creation and not just as watchers on the sideline, so we can still experience and enjoy it and the offspring of our offsprings in the years to come.

The organization https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilderness_International participates in five projects namely: community conservation, outdoor adventures, at-risk youth development, community environmental education, and church and community partnerships - with the ultimate goal of giving all of us an opportunity to connect with God through His creation.

This planet is our home. Let's do our share in caring for it even in our own little way. It helps if you also support the cause of organizations such as Wilderness International and making more people aware of what their group stands for. Let us help one another in preserving our planet so that it remains livable for each and every one of us for a long, long time.
